Server Logs

The web server automatically stores access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status). These are deleted after 30 days.

Legal Basis

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) for purchase and activation data, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) for server logs and spam prevention.

Disclosure to Third Parties

Your data is not sold to third parties. Disclosure occurs only where legally required or necessary for contract processing (e.g. payment providers).

Payments — Paddle (Merchant of Record)

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (registered in England and Wales, 3rd Floor, 42 Maiden Lane, London WC2E 7LJ, UK) as the Merchant of Record. When you purchase a product, the contract for the sale is formed between you and Paddle. Paddle processes all payment data (card details, billing address, name) in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. BinaryGrit e.U. does not receive or store your payment card data.

AI Preset Generator

The AI Preset Generator forwards your text prompt to the Anthropic API (Anthropic, PBC, San Francisco, CA, USA) to generate a plugin preset configuration file. Prompts are not stored by BinaryGrit e.U. Anthropic may process prompts in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. Do not include personal information in your prompts.

As Anthropic is based in the USA, this constitutes a transfer to a third country. This transfer is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. According to Anthropic's currently applicable API policies, data submitted via the API is not used to train AI models. Please refer to Anthropic's current privacy policy for details.

Website Analytics — Umami

This website uses Umami (umami.is), a privacy-friendly, open-source analytics tool. Umami collects anonymised data such as page views, referrer, browser type, and operating system — without cookies and without storing personally identifiable information. The analytics instance is self-hosted on our own server; no data is transferred to third parties.

Email

Emails are sent via Gmail (Google LLC). Google processes email content in accordance with their own privacy policy.

As Google LLC is based in the USA, this constitutes a transfer to a third country. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on an adequacy decision of the EU Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR.

Retention Periods

  • Purchase data: 7 years (statutory retention obligation)
  • License and activation data: Duration of license + 1 year
  • Support tickets: 2 years after closure
  • Beta feedback: Duration of beta program + 1 year
  • Community presets: Until deleted on request
  • Server logs: 30 days

Cookies & Local Storage

This website does not use tracking cookies. Only technically necessary session cookies are set for the admin area, which are deleted when the browser is closed.

The Preset Generator stores your license key in your browser's localStorage for convenience (so you don't have to re-enter it). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared via your browser settings.
